The second paragraph tells us about both groups in more detail. First we’re told why some people like her, then we’re told why others don’t.

2. CORRECT. The two groups are mentioned in the first sentence of the passage.
3. Which assertion is being contradicted? There is no assertion in the first paragraph that can be contradicted. Two groups are introduced, and then a false assertion is described.
4. Which interpretation? There are two different interpretations of James’ work given in paragraph two. Neither of them seems more controversial than the other.
5. There was a false dilemma mentioned in the first paragraph, but the author never mentions it again.
