Almost all of the colors have restrictions. This prevents them from going in all three windows, since every color must be used once.
- Green and orange block yellow. They’re out.
- Likewise, yellow is out. It blocks green and orange.
- Rose can’t go in three windows because rule 2 says it can’t.
That leaves purple. C is CORRECT.

I guess I’m not understanding one of the rules. It says if purple no orange so I did the counter positive if orange no purple. Which elimates purple. Please clarify.

Yes, that’s an easy mistake to make, that’s why it’s very important to double check the rules. The rule actually states that if there’s no purple glass in the window, then there’s orange, which is very different than P –> ~O . The diagrams should look like this:
~P –> O
Contrapositive: ~O –> P
This is an example of a rule where either one or both of the game pieces must be present in the set (in this case, a glass window). If there’s no P, there must be O, and if there’s no O, there must be a P. Or, both must be present.
