KR can only go directly before ON only if the two groups go on Thursday and Friday:
B is CORRECT.
If we tried to put KR on Wednesday, then ON would have to go Friday so that JL could go before them.

This question seems to be a tad lack-lustre because it simply asks “on a day before Nessa’s…” It does not specify on the day directly before, which leaves it open to being in two possible days rather than one.

Check your test again. It says “On THE day before….” [emphasis mine]
These tiny little changes make the difference on the LSAT. There are occasionally flawed questions, but in 99.99% of the times a question seems wrong, you’ve missed something and it’s time to go back over it with a fine-toothed comb.
