- This is too narrow. Fugita and O’Brien also noted that the Japanese retained a communal identity. Also, this leaves out author’s criticism.
- CORRECT. This covers everything. It repeats the first paragraph, but that paragraph describes what was to come in the final paragraphs.
- Actually, the final paragraph shows that the author thinks that the “interpretive framework” needs work.
Scholars must figure out exactly what factors allow a people to keep their culture. - This distinction doesn’t make much sense. It’s perfectly possible for communities to develop and adapt to American culture.
