  1. CORRECT. The situation is: scholars started studying Homer’s poems again. Paragraphs two and three explain how they lost and regained interest.
  2. Which hypotheses? The author is telling us a story about Homeric scholars.
  3. It’s true that the author summarizes Milman and Adam Parry’s work. But this leaves out the first paragraph, which tells us why the author summarized their work.
     
    The author uses the Parrys to explain the revival of scholarly interest in Homer’s poems.
  4. There doesn’t seem to be any debate, currently. Scholars are happily studying the poems of Homer.
  5. Which problem? No problem is mentioned. The passage is just a story about how scholars lost and regained their interest in Homer’s poems.
