1. Lines 41-42 say they didn’t care about reforms (i.e. politics). 
2. Lines 41-42 say they didn’t care about reforms.
3. The artists mainly cared about representation and form (how to draw things). So it’s hard to believe their stylistic innovations were random.
4. CORRECT. See line 40. Transcending reality means seeing reality in a different way. 
5. They said they were mainly interested in form.
