LSAT 110 | Section 4 | Reading Comprehension: Q5

LSAT Preptest 110 explanations

RC Question 5 Explanation

DISCUSSION: I can’t emphasize how important it is to eliminate wrong answers by finding specific lines in the passage. If you don’t think you have the time, then work on forming a better mental map of the passage, and learn to skim faster.

They’re both trainable skills, important for Reading Comprehension success.

___________

  1. Paragraph 3 answers this.
  2. Lines 10-13 answer this.
  3. Lines 48-51 answer this.
  4. Lines 33-37 answer this.
  5. CORRECT. The passage leaves this a mystery. Look all you want at lines 37-40: there’s no explanation given.

“Even where preferred foliage is abundant, okapis will leave much of it uneaten, choosing to move on and sample other leaves.” How is this not a direct answer to why okapis leave much preferred foliage uneaten?

Well, why do Okapis move on, leaving much preferred foliage uneaten?

You could tell me that you are studying for the LSAT rather than, say, applying to business school. That does not answer the question of why you choose the LSAT over business school. It just tells us what you are doing.
