DISCUSSION: When you think you have the right answer, check it against the passage. I can’t emphasize how important this is. The line references I give aren’t just a luxury I have when explaining a passage. I find them while doing the test. High scores come from taking the time to be sure.
You don’t need to check every answer, but do check the one thing you think is right. Otherwise you’re just guessing.
___________
- This isn’t mentioned. In fact, some manufacturers are already changing. See lines 38-41.
- This is just playing on outside assumptions: some people think environmentalism makes us poorer, but the passage doesn’t say whether industrial ecosystems will make us poorer.
- Lines 52-54 do say that developing nations will have to skip older technology. But the passage doesn’t say they’re unwilling to do so.
- CORRECT. Lines 46-49 say this directly.
- This is like B. We have no idea if industrial ecosystems will lead to more manufacturing or less.
