DISCUSSION: In short, the passage says that changes in society force political change. It discusses different types of societal change, and the inevitability of change.

1. The article isn’t encouraging anyone to dissent. It’s predicting people will dissent, but that’s different from saying they should dissent.
2. Name me one specific human right abuse mentioned. (there are none). This answer is playing on our association of authoritarian societies with human rights violations. They are mentioned as a cause of dissatisfaction in lines 21-22, but that’s all.
3. What strategy is given for a democratic coalition? (hint: none. This is a nonsense answer).
4. CORRECT. The passage discusses the reasons authoritarian rulers make changes. That’s all. 
5. This ignores the non-economic reasons citizens may demand change.
