DISCUSSION: Passage B’s point is that change in an ecosystem isn’t necessarily bad, even if the change comes from outside influences.
___________
- This isn’t it. In this case, there is an actual loss: you have one less piece of clothing. Yet ecosystems often have more species when species invade.
- CORRECT. This is pretty similar. An outside influence produces change, but the change isn’t necessarily bad.
- Passage B didn’t say that invasive species produce ‘progress’ or that species invasion is necessary. Passage B just claimed invasion isn’t necessarily bad.
- This is very narrow. It’s like saying that ecosystems can never change from within. Passage B’s point was just that outside change isn’t necessarily bad.
- This would be like saying that humans can produce species invasion but species invasion also happens on it’s own. That’s not what passage B was talking about.
