I worked with Jamie primarily on reading comprehension. Not only does Jamie understand the fundamental principles of reading, but she also knows the specific elements to focus on in a passage for the LSAT. Jamie didn’t just explain why one answer choice was correct or incorrect; she challenged me to articulate my thought process, which helped me think more critically about the questions. Additionally, Jamie assisted with the details of my study plan, such as which practice tests to use and how many I should complete. What sets Jamie apart from other tutors, however, is her ability to help manage my anxiety towards the LSAT. She shared helpful tips and offered consistent encouragement, which, I believe, demonstrates her genuine care for her students.

I decided to work with Jamie after a few months of self-study, during which I had only achieved a 6-point improvement from my diagnostic score. As someone who was essentially starting out, Jamie was able to create a schedule for me that balanced both self-studying and expanding upon that knowledge through our tutoring lessons. Her process and explanations were so insightful, not only breaking down questions for me to understand, but also prompting me to critically think about how to approach different types of questions when working through them. Like the other two reviewers, I was able to see an increase in my score (14 points), and I am hopeful for a greater increase when I retake the LSAT. Jamie is an excellent tutor, and I can confidently say that I would not be scoring where I am today if not for her help.

Working with Jamie has been great! She really takes the time to understand your individual strengths/weaknesses to provide the best and most tailored plan for you. As others have mentioned, she empowers you to think critically about the questions rather than just coaching you through the “correct” answer. She is incredibly patient and definitely empowers you to work through difficult concepts with confidence. Between my last exam and working with Jamie my score increased by 8 points.
