LSAT 106 | Section 4 | Reading Comprehension: Q21

LSAT Preptest 106 explanations

RC Question 21 Explanation

DISCUSSION: The wrong answers are designed to trick you. Make sure to match your answer with a line from the passage.

Lines 7-8 and 33-36 are particularly important for this question.

___________

  1. Line 33 contradicts this. Neoclassical economists think natural resources could run out. They believe we could replace them with human resources.
  2. CORRECT. Lines 33-36 support this. Human-made resources will let the economy grow forever.
  3. Lines 7-8.
  4. The neoclassical economists think that there are no limits to growth (lines 7-8).

If we run out of natural resources, we can invent new human resources (lines 33-36).
  5. Lines 33-36 don’t support this. Neoclassical economists say that human resources will work fine, but they don’t say whether they are better than natural resources.
