LSAT 110 | Section 4 | Reading Comprehension: Q16

LSAT Preptest 110 explanations

RC Question 16 Explanation

DISCUSSION: The game is an example. It demonstrates that we might dislike a system even if it produces clear results.

___________

  1. What principle? What previous application? Don’t choose answers like this unless you can answer those questions. (You can’t, here)
  2. CORRECT. The point is, something can be clear without being good.
  3. How does an example about robbery demonstrate unimportance? And which activity? Meyerson isn’t saying the law is unimportant.
  4. The point isn’t to contrast robbery with the law. Robbery is given as an example to demonstrate a point about the law.
  5. Meyerson is dismissing the CLS proponents’ idea. But she doesn’t say their idea is reprehensible. She just thinks it’s wrong, and uses the robbery game as an example to prove their point.
