It makes sense to sum things up by saying what benefits Abrams’ structure will bring.

1. This is dumb. Everyone knows that individuals have some influence on history. We don’t need a special method to figure this out.
2. Not quite. Abrams says that sociologists do talk about the influence between individuals and society. But they only focus on one part at a time (lines 6-8). Abrams argues that individuals and society both influence each other.
3. Abrams is a historical sociologist. He’s criticizing sociologists, and he claims they should use his historical sociological methods.
4. The formation of societies? Abrams is talking about all of history, even after societies are formed. 
5. CORRECT. It’s hard to judge how individuals and society affect each other, but Abrams’ approach may help.
