LR Question 22 Explanation

QUESTION TEXT: All highly successful salespersons are both organized and…

QUESTION TYPE: Must be True

FACTS:

  1. Well known ➞ Highly successful ➞ well organized and self motivated ➞ don’t regret your career choice
  2. Contrapositive: Regret ➞ SM ➞ HS ➞ Well Known
  3. Some non successful salespeople are neither WO nor SM.

ANALYSIS: This question has multiple conditional statements, and you can combine them into one medium-size diagram. It can often be helpful to diagram must-be-true questions. The right answer will follow one of the diagrams above, left to right.

___________

  1. They could be. Well organized is a necessary condition for success, but you can have necessary conditions without sufficient conditions.
  2. No…why should they be? When we don’t have the sufficient conditions, it’s no longer certain that we will have the necessary conditions.
  3. CORRECT. Yes. Well known means success, means self motivation, and means no regret.
  4. That’s silly. Regret is only related to self motivated.
  5. Nope. All highly successful people do not regret their career choices, but we can’t say the reverse.

Recap: The question begins with “All highly successful salespersons are both organized and”. It is a Must be True question. Learn more about LSAT MBT questions in our guide to LSAT Logical Reasoning question types.
