LSAT 122 | Section 1 | Logical Reasoning: Q7

LSAT Preptest 122 explanations

LR Question 7 Explanation

QUESTION TEXT: Two things are true of all immoral actions. First, if are performed…

QUESTION TYPE: Must be False

ANALYSIS: This is pretty straightforward. Immoral actions make you feel guilty. If they’re performed in public, they offend sensibilities and make you feel guilty.

Anything that violates those rules must be false. Don’t make it any more complicated than that.

___________

  1. CORRECT. Since all immoral actions bring guilt, this must be false.
  2. If you read carefully, the stimulus doesn’t even say immoral actions are wrong. So how can we know why they are wrong (if they are)? This could be true.
  3. This could be true, if we were talking about actions that weren’t immoral.
  4. This could be true. Many people feel guilty about things that are not wrong.
  5. This could be true. Maybe there are no other such actions that are performed in public.

Recap: The question begins with “Two things are true of all immoral actions First, if are performed”. It is a Must be False question. Learn how to master LSAT MBF questions on the LSAT Logical Reasoning question types page.
