LSAT 137 | Section 1 | Reading Comprehension: Q26

LSAT Preptest 137 explanations

RC Question 26 Explanation

DISCUSSION: The final paragraph shows that no one can restrict Parliament’s power. So if Parliament joins the organization, then they also have the power to leave.

___________

  1. We have no idea what creditors think of this international body. It might be an international banking organization that encourages loan payment.
  2. Same as A. Lenders might like this body, or they might not. We don’t know whether joining will affect Parliament’s willingness to repay debts.
  3. CORRECT. See the last three sentences of paragraph 6. Parliament can do anything it wants, including withdrawing from the international body. There is no way for Parliament to limit it’s own power to withdraw.
  4. Same as A and B. We have no idea what commercial interests think of this international body.
  5. Parliament already has unlimited power. See the last paragraph.

I’m wondering if you could better explain LSAT 67, Reading Comprehension Q26? I understand the reasoning given in lsathack.com I just don’t know if I could discriminate between C and E in the exam and if I would be able to come to the understanding given on my own. I am wondering if you have some way to further explain the answers?
