LSAT 106 | Section 4 | Reading Comprehension: Q23

LSAT Preptest 106 explanations

RC Question 23 Explanation

DISCUSSION: Another specific detail question. Support your answer using the passage.

The wrong answers are designed to trick you, if you don’t check your answer.

___________

  1. Lines 41-43 show that Hollywood movies still try to get large audiences – they always have.
  2. I’m not sure what this means. Does it mean someone examines the content of films before they are released? Or is this talking about what movie critics will say about a movie once it is released?

    This answer is impossibly vague.
  3. CORRECT. Lines 43-47 say this directly.
  4. This is never mentioned. And for all we know, 1920s films did the same thing as well.

The problem is that modern films are bad, no matter their subject.
  5. Lines 44-45 say that publicity excites audiences’ curiosity. That doesn’t sound like cynicism.
