LSAT 132 | Section 1 | Reading Comprehension: Q11

LSAT Preptest 132 explanations

RC Question 11 Explanation

DISCUSSION: Lines 28-29 say that custom medical illustrations are only admissible if an expert says they are accurate.

___________

  1. I almost chose this. But medical experts don’t say whether illustrations are admissible. Judges say what’s admissible. Medical experts only say if the diagrams are accurate. Read lines 28-29 carefully.
  2. Nonsense. Custom illustrations are designed to be easy to understand, and to avoid bias (see lines 33-36). So the author doesn’t think medical experts need to correct any bias.
  3. Actually, it’s the other way around. The fourth paragraph says that medical illustrations help judges and juries understand medical experts. Without diagrams, expert testimony is confusing.
  4. This sounds like lines 28-29. But the passage never says medical experts advise attorneys on which diagrams are useful. The passage only says they advise whether diagrams are accurate. That’s why E is right and this answer is wrong.
  5. CORRECT. See lines 28-29. They say this directly.
