
How to Drill Negations
- Read about negations and why they are important on this page.
- Below, you will find a list of PrepTests. Choose one you have already seen and/or completed.
- Negate each answer choice in Necessary Assumption questions. Then check out the explanation to see if you negated the answer choice correctly.
Example: “Doctors work longer hours than nurses.”
Imagine that this is an answer choice for one of the Necessary Assumption questions. Your task in this drill is to negate the statement. In this case, the negation is “doctors do not work longer hours than nurses.” Do the negations yourself, and then check it against the explanation to see if it matches.
I have not included negations for every single answer choice on every explanation. I have identified the ones that I have negated, so choose from the list below.
