  1. Vulgar humor isn’t an emotional state. It can be disturbing due to shock value, but this isn’t the same thing.
  2. CORRECT. This matches. The comedian is making us face disturbing truths.
  3. This fails because it doesn’t mention emotional states. Also, while Schoenberg started in a traditional style, he wasn’t simply copying people.
  4. Schoenberg didn’t have an extreme political philosophy, that we know of. Lines 50-56 are talking about music that forces us to recognize disturbing emotional states.
  5. Schoenberg’s music was sometimes unfamiliar and jarring, but lines 50-56 are talking about the fact that it provoked disturbing emotional states.
