LSAT 155 | Section 3 | Reading Comprehension: Q5

LSAT Preptest 155 explanations

RC Question 5 Explanation

DISCUSSION: The final highlighted sentence says it’s best to abide by the insights and wisdom of the early film programmers. The implication being, of course, that should we fail to do so, the exhibition might not be good.

___________

  1. The author doesn’t question the early film aficionados’ sincerity, but he does think they’re going about displaying the films in the wrong way.
  2. CORRECT. The author is concerned with the proper way films should be displayed, and warns against the consequences of not doing so in the final sentence.
  3. The author does this in the passage, but not through the highlighted sentence.
  4. The author doesn’t talk about finding the “earliest versions” possible.
  5. Too extreme and whether or not an early film can be “fully understood by contemporary audiences” is besides the point.
