LSAT 155 | Section 3 | Reading Comprehension: Q6

LSAT Preptest 155 explanations

RC Question 6 Explanation

DISCUSSION: Like the previous question, it’s hard to predict what the answer choice is so just make sure you understand what the passage is about, what info there is, and what his arguments are.

___________

  1. The author doesn’t have an opinion on the relevant levels of interest between an exhibit of works by only one artist vs. many artists.
  2. CORRECT. The author thinks that the audience would perceive a mixture of films differently from just watching early nonfiction films one after the other.
  3. “Beholden” means “indebted” or “influenced by”. So this is actually the opposite of what the film archives and festivals are doing: they’re ignoring tradition.
  4. What most early cinema goers “think” about nonfiction films are irrelevant. We don’t know what they think.
  5. Historians and academics are out of scope. The author is only concerned with the audience and how they react to the inauthentic experiences.
