LSAT 107 | Section 2 | Reading Comprehension: Q23

LSAT Preptest 107 explanations

RC Question 23 Explanation

DISCUSSION: The first paragraph described the problem (we lack research) and discussed questions that research could answer (how were women affected by medieval law?). Lastly, the solution is provided: large studies of many medieval cases.

___________

  1. The explanation is given in the second paragraph, not the first. Also, this answer leaves out much of the passage.
  2. This is close. There is a problem, and questions are listed. But the author doesn’t say which questions are most important.
  3. Don’t pick answers that you can’t match up to the paragraph. There’s no example, there’s no description of the past, and no prediction is made.
  4. CORRECT. The deficiency is that there aren’t many books or articles on topic. The “specific nature” refers to the questions that can’t be answered. The means of fixing the deficiency are: quantitative studies.
  5. There’s no mention of the necessary resources, or any limitations on resources.
