Steady-state economists believe in using resources more efficiently. That way we can still satisfy human wants while staying within natural limits.
___________
- This is a more efficient use of resources, so it’s a step in the right direction.
- CORRECT. This doesn’t mention how many resources are used. Steady-state economists want a process that uses natural resources more efficiently. Cost isn’t the main concern.
- Defective products waste natural resources.
- This sounds good. The new process may use less fuel, or produce more with the same amount of fuel.
- Overproduction is no good. Resources are used, but no needs are satisfied.
