LSAT 104 | Section 2 | Reading Comprehension: Q5

LSAT Preptest 104 explanations

RC Question 5 Explanation

DISCUSSION: This question refers to lines 38-41. You absolutely must find those lines and read them to answer this question.

(I started with the fourth paragraph, then moved down quickly until I saw “typical…procedure”)

Davis had his group improvise from a script. Then he mixed and matched bits of recording to create the song.

___________

  1. Not quite. Davis wrote the script, then let his musicians improvise. This answer also leaves out the studio editing.
  2. The spontaneity is good, but this leaves out the studio editing.
  3. This answer choice separates parts of the orchestra. Davis separated parts of the song.
  4. CORRECT. The “assigned theme” is like Davis’ script, and the assemblage of the pictures into a collage is like Davis editing the order of the music in studio.
  5. In Davis’ studio, there was a finished product. Here, the essays may not even be published.
