DISCUSSION: See lines 3-6. Organicists claimed that analytic scientists ignored the complexity of systems by studying the parts individually.
___________
- CORRECT. See lines 3-6.
- Organicists never said that a system can’t be divided. But since each part affects every other, you can’t analyze the parts separately.
(You can separate a system without trying to analyze it.) - Lines 46-48 show that scientists try to find the laws applicable to a system as a whole. Organicists ignored this possibility (lines 51-53).
- Close, but not quite. The organicists don’t think that the parts can be analyzed separately from the system.
- No one denied this. Also, organicists’ objections came in the first paragraph, while entities and relationships only came later.
